Members Show Call for Entries

Annual Members Show

The Members Show offers the opportunity for all Art Alliance members, regardless of their level of expertise, to show their work. The show will be split between June and July and held at KISH Bank Expect More Store on S. Allen St in State College. We look forward to this double annual show featuring the work of our many talented members. We will have two shows of roughly equal number of works, each with the quality that has been our tradition. Artists may select the month that they prefer on the entry form.

Eligible Work

Artists must be Art Alliance members. Entry to the show is not juried and all entries will be accepted. Each artist may submit one piece that has not received an award in any previous Art Alliance shows. All works must be original.

Popular Vote Awards

This show is not juried but cash prizes will be awarded to the artists whose work receives the most votes. Visitors will be encouraged to cast in-person votes for their favorite artworks (one vote per visitor per half of the show, please) in the June half of the show and the July half of the show. The artist whose work receives the most votes in each month will be awarded $100.

Prepare Your Artwork

Make sure your work is securely wired and ready to hang. Poorly framed work, unframed work, clips, brackets, partial frames, or wet work will not be accepted. Unframed stretched canvases are acceptable if they have finished sides and secure wiring. All pieces under glass or plexiglass must be framed. 3-D work may not exceed 100 lbs. The piece must be stable in its position and securely attached to its base.

Label your artwork with your name, title of the piece, and contact information so we can accurately identify your work.

Wrap your artwork for transport. When you drop off your artwork at the Art Center, make sure it is securely wrapped, taped, and/or boxed. After all artworks are dropped off they will be transported to the venue. The Art Alliance is not responsible damaged artwork.

The chair reserves the right to reject entries that do not meet these requirements and will have the final decision on how the work is hung.

Sales and Conditions

Works may be for sale. The Art Alliance charges a 20% commission of the selling price for work sold at the show.

Artwork Drop Off & Pick Up

Drop off for both months will be at the Art Alliance Center in Lemont. No artwork should be delivered to the venue.

June Show

  • Artwork Drop Off: Sunday, May 29, 4–6:00pm
  • Artwork Pick Up: Sunday, July 3, 4–6:00pm

July Show

  • Artwork Drop Off: Sunday, June 26, 4–6:00pm
  • Artwork Pick Up: Sunday, July 31, 4–6:00pm

Opening Receptions

KISH Bank will host opening receptions for both shows as part of State College First Fridays on June 3 from 5:30–7:30 and July 1 from 5:30–7:30.

Entry Process and Fee

Entry Fee is $30. The entry form and non-refundable fee are due Thursday, May 19, 2022. Entry to the show is a two step process:

  1. Fill out the online entry form (or download a printable version)
  2. Pay the entry fee
