Please pick up your BEES at the
Art Alliance Office, 824 Pike Street, Lemont
These are DUE BACK TO THE OFFICE, APRIL 10th
We are pleased to have you participate in Jana Marie Foundation’s Art with a Theme project to create awareness for mental health and wellness!
With growing mental health needs in our community and nation, it is important now more than ever to come together as a community and create supportive networks where everyone feels appreciated, understood, and heard. Belonging, Education, and Environment (BEE) are crucial for creating safe places and encouraging help-seeking behaviors.
This year’s symbol is a bee. The bee is a powerful animal, symbolizing creativity, life, and community. Bees are known for their teamwork, collective consciousness, and superb communication skills — all important factors for mental well-being and building strong support networks.
Similar to past years, Jana Marie Foundation provides you a “bee” template cut from corrugated plastic. We ask that both sides be decorated in a way that uplifts others and conveys a positive message of mental wellness, hope, and peace.
Pick them up from the Art Alliance office at 824 Pike Street Lemont at the back of the Gallery Shop.
Your bee cutout will be displayed in a participating location in Downtown State College and throughout Centre County in May 2024.
Please follow these few parameters for your artwork:
So be sure to drop back at the Art Alliance office by April 10!
