About

India ink is an ancient drawing and painting medium that allows for high contrast, spontaneity, and experimentation. Three projects: portrait, landscape, and abstract, will be the playground to learn and practice techniques and concepts introduced in class.

Supply List

• Images, objects, inspiration reference material (for portrait, landscape, abstract)
• Paper to paint on (smooth water color paper or Bristol, 11”x14”)
• Paint brushes (a few assorted craft, watercolor, hardware store scruffy brushes)
• Pens with nibs, and/or a glass pen
• Viva paper towels
• X-acto knife
• Washi tape (MT Kamoi paper 15mmx10m roll)
