Encaustic is an ancient hot wax painting technique that creates luminous paintings with rich color. This class gives participants a hands-on introduction to the encaustic process.
Learn how to set up an inexpensive workspace, build opaque and translucent layers, create collages, and develop mark-making techniques. There will also be an in-depth discussion of safety practices. The class is appropriate for beginners and advanced students.
This class includes a $20 materials fee, to provide the materials necessary for first time students.
