State College Photo Club @ KISH in October

Photos to be featured at the Kish Bank Expect More Store include the fourteen winners of the State College Photo Club 2023 Youth Showcase. All the winners are high school students at State College Area High School. These photos were submitted to the national Photographic Society of America (PSA) Youth Showcase. Six of the winners’ photos were accepted by PSA, including two that received awards.
The following accepted photos are being displayed at the 2023 PSA Photo Festival held in Williamsburg, Virginia in late September:
Alexandra Antoniono received a Gold Medal in the “People or Animals” category for printed images for her photo “Julia #8”
Frederick Kissinger received an Honorable Mention in the “Color Choice” category for printed images for his photo “Endure”
PSA Acceptances for printed images included Alexandra Antoniono for “Wanderlust” in the “Scapes” category and Annamae Leitzinger for “Lustrous Luminence” in the Monochrome category.
PSA Acceptances for digital images included Saige Adair for “Above the Chaos” in the Scapes category and Kailani Stroup for “Heading South for the Winter” in the “Color Choice” category.

We are grateful to Ms. Danielle Crowe, Art Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator, State College Area School District, for her involvement in encouraging her students to participate in the State College Photo Club Youth Showcase. We are also grateful to Mr. John McQueary of State College Framing Company for his support for framing the high school photos. The framed photos will be given to the participating students after the exhibition.
In addition to the Youth Showcase photos, several members of the State College Photo Club will contribute photos for display as part of the club’s annual exhibit. Photo club members exhibiting include Lisa Marie Cirincione, William Duffy, Art Heim, John Larson, Jane Liechty, Tricia Rubio, Rich Shore, Chris Taschner, Ann Taylor-Schmidt, Jim Thomas, Carolyn Todd-Larson, and Joe Worrick.
