October 4 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
with instructor Linda Borch
Before retiring and moving up to Central PA in 2016, Linda Borch most recently taught drawing and painting for the Anne Arundel County Community College in Maryland for 15 years. She joined the Art Alliance in 2022 and is excited to be a part of the art community here. She will encourage students most of all to “play” and let go of the idea of everything having to be a masterpiece. Each class there will be demonstrations and lots of one on one instruction.
The workshop will focus on using a textured underpainting to make effortless realistic landscape elements in oil, acrylic or pastel painting. She will teach specifically about the importance of composition and design; using color theory to bring your painting to life; and the general process of painting a landscape, working from large to small shapes.
This workshop is suitable for experienced beginners to advanced painters.
