Event Series Event Series (See All)

May 11 @ 9:00 am 5:00 pm

Lelaina Scott’s work will be up in May at the State College Downtown Improvement District office off of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza on Fraser Street.

About Lelaina:

Lelaina Scott is an artist and recent graduate with a bachelor’sdegree in visual Arts And Music Studies from The Pennsylvania State University. After being thrown into the unknown with the rest of the world in 2020, she found her passion for painting from when she was a kid at grandma’s house, playing with whatever art supplies and paper scraps were around.

The reignition of her small childhood dreams began here.

Lelaina is currently a registered artist with The Bellefonte Museum of Art and, in addition to having her artworks displayed around central Pennsylvania, she is actively planning future exhibitions. She has recently had her work displayed at the Patterson Gallery In University Park, The Bellefonte Art Museum, Café Lemont and The Art Alliance Of Central Pennsylvania.

She works part time as a local barista, meeting local artists over a cup of coffee and sharing thoughts, ideas and experiences. Lelaina has taught Acrylic Painting for Beginners at the Arts And Crafts Center at Penn State and the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania and is always excited to see returning faces to her classes. She’s had her work published in local student-run publications around Penn State including Kalliope Art Magazine, Valley Magazine and Penn State Creates with the Palmer Museum of Art, where she was a social media and communications intern. Her works have been shared across social media, and in turn, the world, and she hopes to continue reaching across the world to share her art with the people who have inspired her.
