The Annual Members Show offers the opportunity for all members, regardless of their level of expertise, to show their work. All work entered into the show will be accepted. John McKaig, juror, will choose award winners. Because of the large number of talented artists who are members we have planned the show to be divided into two locations: our Gallery Downtown and Kish Bank’s Expect More Store on S. Allen Street.
John McKaig is full-time lecturer of drawing at Bloomsburg University, and of drawing and art history at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. He received a BFA in printmaking from Miami University in Ohio, and a MFA in printmaking from Syracuse University, NY. He has taught printmaking, painting, figure drawing and anatomy at Syracuse University, drawing and illustration at Cazenovia College, Cazenovia, NY, and all levels of painting, printmaking, general and figure drawing, and analog photography at Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen, MI. Gallery hours at the Art Alliance Gallery Downtown are: Thursdays-Saturdays 12-6pm and Sundays 12-4pm
Gallery hours at Kish Bank’s Expect More Store are: Weekdays 9am-5pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm. Closed Sundays
The opening receptions will be held on Friday, March 6. Please plan to join us from 5:30-7:30pm at Kish Bank’s Expect More Store as John McKaig, our juror, will be present to announce awards and make remarks about the show as a whole. Our Downtown Gallery will host an extended reception from 7:30-9pm as part of the Downtown Improvement District’s monthly First Friday event.
Three cash prizes and three Honorable Mentions will be awarded by the juror.
