As part of our April Earth Day Exhibition at KISH Bank Expect More Store, we are offering a free workshop on how to mend clothing.
The clothing industry is one our current global environmental problems. By mending our clothing and other items, we can acquire fewer things, produce less waste, and contribute to a healthier ecosystem.
Learn more about sustainability and the clothing industry with Show Chair and local artist Jennifer Kane. She will demonstrate and guide visitors through button and basic clothing repairs. Materials will available for visitors to practice with; you’re also welcome to bring your own clothing items that are in need of repair. This activity is free and open to the public. We hope to see you:
While you’re there, be sure to check out the artworks celebrating Earth Day!
