Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own watercolors and gouaches from start to finish?
For the watercolor workshop (Sat): Ever wondered how watercolors become the beautiful vibrant and transparent paints they are? This is the workshop for you! You will gain hands-on experience making your watercolor paint binder from scratch, learning about pigments and how to blend them, and mastering the art of mulling paint. All materials are provided. At the end of this workshop you will have the knowledge and experience you need to make your own paints and take home the paints you made in class!
For the gouache workshop (Sun): Explore the wonders of gouache! Discover the versatility of this opaque watercolor medium, which allows you to paint with thicker textures or embrace the delicacy of traditional watercolors. In this workshop, you will get hands-on experience learning how to create your own gouache paint from start to finish – from making the paint binder to mulling the final product. All materials are provided. Unleash your creativity and dive into the world of gouache with newfound skills and inspiration!
No prior experience in painting or paintmaking necessary!
