Portrait of Beno Weiss, by Susi Weiss

Art Alliance members and other artists contributed paintings, prints, photographs, and poems to create a powerful exhibition on the Holocaust at Schlow Library.

“Americans and the Holocaust,” an exhibition sponsored by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the American Library Association, will be in the Pattee and Paterno Libraries January 28 – March 11, 2022. Schlow Library was asked to develop programming to support this exhibition. As part of the programming the Art Alliance curated an exhibition of artwork and poetry in the library’s Betsy Rodgers Allen Gallery.

The exhibition is open during Schlow’s regular hours throughout January.

In addition, the public is invited to a poetry reading to hear the poets read their work aloud on Tuesday, January 11 at 5:30 pm at Schlow Library. Masks are required.

Below are only a few images from the gallery. Due to the nature of the lighting in the gallery, it was not possible to get quality close up photos of the artworks without distracting glares.
