I finally finished up this 9” x 12” watercolor I have been working on through this period of isolation.

This is a beautiful farm down in Springs PA where my mother lives. I titled it “The Bender Farm, River Road, Springs PA.” This was fun to do as I applied lessons I learned from Brienne M. Brown.

Thank you,

Here’s my messy watercolor painting painted from life (daffodils).

My small watercolor paintings of Bellefonte are keeping my spirits up during the Covid-19 social distancing. I’ve been taking a lot of photos during walks around town and they are the inspiration for my paintings.

Working on small packets of sunflower seeds to give out. Pencil and crayon.  Not fancy but happy.

My name is Joanna Harlow. I’m an artist and a lifelong resident of Lemont.

I’d like to submit some paintings I’ve been working on during quarantine.

The blue one with the face is called “The Mollusk”

The colorful one with the beard is titled “Christ in Technicolor”

And the bald-headed one is “Saul Bellow Study”

Hi! I have this new artwork that I was working on.

This is a Megaptera novaeangliae or Jorobada Humpback; The humpback has a distinctive body shape, with long pectoral fins and a knobbly head. Found in oceans and seas around the world, humpback whales typically migrate up to 25,000 km (16,000 mi) each year. They feed in polar waters, and migrate to tropical or subtropical waters.

In Chile, the Estrecho de Magallanes and the Chilean Patagonian have been registered as a feeding area for the humpback whale in the summer months.
