Aristotle developed the first known theory of color, suggesting that all color came from black and white. Beyond the limits of black and white is the visible spectrum of colors we see everyday. Reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues and purples and their combinations, create a vast range of colors that is only limited by our imagination.
I chose plastic packaging and bags as my media because they come in an array of colors. We use an alarming number of plastic bags - 5 trillion annually - most of which do not get recycled. Instead of filling our land with plastic waste, I choose to create art to represent this amazing spectrum of color.
